Short project description: Project goal – to prepare the integration and optimization model of the Ministry of Transport and Communications subsidiaries’ telecommunications network

The works performed:

• Analysis of the Ministry of Transport and Communications subsidiaries’ own / controlled / leased telecommunications infrastructure (wireless technologies designed for the fibre optic and data transmission);
• Analysis of the Ministry of Transport and Communications subsidiaries’ purchased data transmission services;
• The main problems and disadvantages associated with the use of telecommunications networks efficiency identification made on the basis of the above analysis;
• Analysis of the three possible alternatives for the operation of telecommunications networks and their performance (services being provided) integration and optimization in consideration of the set problems, formulation of the proposals for the optimal alternative which would increase the efficiency of the telecommunications networks controlled by the Ministry of Transport and Communications subsidiaries;
• Analysis of the alternatives for telecommunications networks integration and optimization based on preliminary economic estimates and identification of the possible financing sources for the alternatives implementation;
• Preparation of the proposals for the integrated network solutions that enable to ensure an economic effect of the networks exploitation;
• Preparation of the proposals for the integrated network solutions that enable to ensure a higher infrastructure’s security level.
