Shorst project description: Project goal – to prepare a plan of modern AB “Lietuvos geležinkeliai” (Lithuanian railways) rolling-stocks washing system. Such system has to ensure:

  • Modern, compatible with environmental, technical and employees’ safety and health requirements sanitary rolling-stock maintenance;
  • Regular rolling-stocks washing meeting the needs of the company;
  • The quality of related waste water treatment plants work;
  • To reduce the risk of untreated sewage and hazardous pollutants release to the environment.

By implementing the above objectives during the project the technical condition of the rolling-stocks washing and cleaning equipment was assessed, the main problems were identified; current and future efficiency and load of washers were estimated; possible alternative project solutions for rolling-stocks washers‘ modernization were explored; the modernization volumes of washers were set, project solutions were prepared; funding sources were proposed; the application project for support from the preferred financial source was prapared for the rolling-stocks washer of Vilnius railway station, the tender documents for a technical project and contractual works according to FIDIC Red Book procurements
