Short project description:

Information collection and technical reasoning: performing of research on the spot and the existing technical documentation analysis in order to get acquainted with the current state of electrification systems in the section Naujoji Vilnia – Vilnius – Kaunas; rolling-stocks depot and technical service evaluation; preparation of technical modernization requirements;
Identification and justification of electrification potentialities in I and IX corridors, assessment of electrification possibilities in other lines;
Extraction and comparison of 3 different alternatives (“do nothing”, “middle”, “maximum”) according to the European Commission’s instructions: design solutions, cost-benefit analysis, economic and financial analysis, environmental issues; selection of economically favourable alternative – solution;
Selection and specification of the most advantageous alternative, including the environmental impact assessment and assumptions and risk analysis, highlighting of stages of implementation;
Preparation of electrification and rolling-stocks design characteristics;
Preparation of contract conditions, technical specifications and speciment tender documents.
